RT: World chess champion Magnus Carlsen narrowly retained his title against Russian challenger Sergey Karjakin after the match went to rapid playoffs in New York. Carlsen played a brilliant queen sacrifice to force a checkmate with seconds on the clock.

Carlsen, who was celebrating his 26th birthday Wednesday during the vital rapidplay chess games, finally triumphed after Karjakin, also 26, forced the match into extra time playoffs with a series of brilliant reaguard defensive actions.

One that showed the spectacular, by those chess-up to know. The almost up-turn of Magnus, Mr. nos1, by a ‘Russian’. In most respects, or all respects of course, this his nationality.

Karjakin, who was born in the Ukrainian Crimea, became a Russian citizen in 2009 and has shown support for President Vladimir Putin. The 26-year-old posted a photo on his Instagram account in 2014 showing him wearing a T-shirt with Mr Putin’s face on it and a message reading: “We don't let our people down.”

“I would describe him as a political opportunist,” said British grandmaster Nigel Short, speaking to The Guardian. “Karjakin is totally backed by Putin and the Russian machine. The state wants him to do well.” Carlsen...’

And off they sing. And Nigel Short?? Backed by a… what? A ‘machine’.

And our poor state then, is..? What, some happy families all benevolent and humain? Where do they get these comparisons from? It’s this: turning-back on self–hate and frustration / one quote prompted by a clever question to exact / racism / some old wound and bitterness / get me on the BBC website with this / “I’ve started this line of thinking/said before – so will not repent, regardless or anything contrary…”

– and could theorise on and on.

Balance on any giddy-over-Russia maybe but the Soviet trash, they were so famous for 50 years ago, is barely worth noting in the onslaught of the likes of say, the BBC.

Mostly though it’s dancing and dizzy silly T.V. or for the more trendy-hip – some zip and snap, sexy stuff. Yet, dare try and listen for some comment, or read about chess? Dig, dig, dig…

As though it matters to pump the Govt. Press Line. The ones who care? Don’t need reminding when already on the bandwagon of disproportion and childish views of good-bad – and, so what?

There are increasingly less 'swing against this brutal Russia, Syria and Iran' out there. The reason it goes on, is likely all about some dark unseen ways with a big dollap of pride and ongoing self-deluding broadcaster and bosses' lies.

Mostly though, it's an attempt to demoralise Russians. Their sense of desire for global acceptance given some naggy non-sense by the, Better Believe the Committee.
