Flipping News
(Involuntarily) watching the news is illuminating (having not been).
Single stories dominate. As finances are dropping like sheets of snow off mount monopoly, almost all the most news is about men in space. Inc a Brit, so important. Morale.
Last night though was a perfect fandango. Ages it seemed, on and on. Look at the “mess they left”, the poor (?) folk without insurance (one in a cafe explaining why you can’t (?) disclose therefore...) and the backgrounds of these terrible villains.
Talking about..?
‘Gran-daddy was a... bankrobber/but he never hurt nobody/he just loved to live that way/and he loved to steal...’
...mills of pounds of jewels.
So here we had flip-flopping; Ha, ha, ha dear ol’souls having a last go. Ohhh, one took his diabetes medication... Oh one had... Oh... Aren’t they cute and funny.
All a bit of a laugh - switch - they are people who did a terrible thing - back to... etc etc
The art of comedy but firm warning; Copycats “watch out” our brave plods got them (except for a lanky ginger one with a mickey mouse name).
We’re meant to feel sorry for them but... get a bit wobbly at this menace.
All the while crimes are happening but this one is deemed our feed.
Tonight; after mr spacemen, Jenner gets a spot. Quite detailed but - in the name of impartiality - the balance was clinically in. I don’t so mind that but the outrage at the delays is, the news. This managed to get swamped by the rest. At one point the reasons were listed. One being; the boys were in care and... would... they seem reliable? (I.e. would others, but - implication - “do we?”).
At the end the resolute quickly-comes-the-enquiry. As soon as March... oh, take up the rest of the year...
If there’s one word that sums up the response by the covers for the complicit and worse: Delay.
