Haha, had a look and it's 5.55 mins, not expected. When Sam introduced me to Dub FX the other day planned to find a number and put it on the playlist. The concert he played was too long to include. With Grime, it is something new. The first UK movement and such since Jungle or UK Garage. While words were integral it was a made-to-rave and club, so instrumental based.

Wiley says Jungle was "the best of times" and the "purity", aka underground/hardcore. In the UK, Drum and Bass remain the primary accompaniment and rites of passage through the 16-18 years (-ish).

Going 'not guilty' on a gun found in a cab he traveled in, would if convicted could get 15 years. A gun found from two searches? Wouldn't you expect to look under the passenger seat the first time? And how did the police know he was in the cab? Or what was the suspected offense by the driver or vehicle, to warrant pulling over?

To make any sense would add:

Got tangled and the potential deceptions. Loski's took the gun out or it's planted with or without Uber (the cab comp) or employee complicit. We can only sketch possibilities but it's a mystery Loski would sit with such a gun in a cab. He knows people who 'carry' and willing. He knows the cops were all over him and other like-minded rappers. Books the cab in a false name? It does somewhat show, surprising exposure to vulnerability.

Loski is one of many Drill and Grime (?) rappers, in or coming out, in court or awaiting sentence and held on remand. Other 'Drill' (call 'it' 'that') –makers, are on trial, concerns me. The need to observe and comment is in the absence of any writing about Loski. A remarkable "not guilty" and release would be significant. All on the back of my take that UK Drill/Grime music is where the hip is, and will, hop. Say 'will...' the numbers who're into the sounds and vision are is increasing. UK Drill is poppin' and isn't 'the Spice Girls or Brit-pop'. Isn't FM friendly and 'crossing over' and "making it big". The 'it' and Drill isn't trying to be that. They're not stupid. The music isn't recognizable. Or much of the language. There's a discordant and demanding tone. Fingers pointing and at pains to disclose. To reveal life in what we're led to suppose is the "way it goes". The low-level cannabis selling employs people who otherwise, get sanctioned off benefits. Ex-offenders in a revolving door. To do anything other is more the 'richer' people's prerogative. Distant from, and yet the crimes are portrayed by the media and 'B' all else.
