Tyler Spinoza writes Jan. 17 on Owen: My biggest concern is that he has become trapped in a sycophantic echo chamber, and that is affecting his opinions and how he deals with dissent.

When -- with respect -- the opposite is nearer the mark. Each tribal accepting-association vid. producer is vulnerable to the 'sycophantic' trap. The wider optic has all and any serious-led discussion, or an a-loner, is in a chamber. Shut-off from vast swathes of the pop. In the UK there are about as many clear and up for Evangelicals as there are Truthers. About 2-ish percent.

Mention evangelicals, whom I aline with -- with reservations -- because, know, they're the very few. On passion for the living God, which might go with attending a church service etc., here/there, or regular? Knowing and caring enough to talk Jesus is a version of into-Truther-talk.

Sure, there's movement and flexibility, over lines and into Jesus/or not -- but it's a helpful comparison.

In fact, my check-up concludes, 20% could articulate along, with genuine, alternative, socio-political explanations.

Ones who light up and go ye on the internet and get baptised in XYZ commentator?

Don't meet them.

Do chat about. Quite a bit. In London for a decade, and now in oh blessed Suffolk sticks. And please, don't think for a min. my old Ladbroke Grove haunts, where, for near-on a decade AWAKE... found much interest or attention on said-troubles. In case anyone thinks, London-hip or street-life'rs, are anymore attuned.

So... All us-lot, liking stimulating info and docs. such as Melissa and Aaron Dykes' latest blockbuster. We ought'er remember the nets limited reach.

Tyler: The state of Owen Benjamin is difficult to actually discern. By my own estimation, his opinions have not come across as overtly malicious or indefensible. His choice of topics would be enough to make him a dangerous comic in the mainstream, but there is a perception that he has become a white supremacist and lost his mind.

Easy to consider a Y.Tuber etc. is 'dangerous' but to whom and why? Not the 98% around here -- ok, 99.5% (and that's being generous and hopeful). Who never switch to anything like; Owen or Alex, Jay or Brendon, Jesse or Jake. Not 'that' interested. As with, struggling for bums on seats/local church building -so goes- the internet. The getting-serious, and yeah... edgy chat and laughs.

The title -- 'be funny if' -- was the first thing he said post-, knocking-up, the quick graph. Owen's good for a hundred hot and sound shocking quotes/titles.

While I don’t believe he is a white supremacist, he very well may be descending into the stranger side of conspiratorial thinking. In any case, making heads or tails of the situation is more difficult than I thought it would be.

Love that. 'The stranger side'. There's go-so-far talk but... ay-up, seems Owen's chats and rails against... comes out batting for the ALL a bit too '...strange'.

The basis for Owen's discernment is intentional honesty.

Fireside and bear-hugging with comments zipping up and at him. Owen reads what-can aloud with limited filtering. Displays of his owned ignorance or uncertainty while generally a wealth of wisdom.

The unusual aspect is the urgency and forget-the-fallout flowing narratives. Learn loads and by an able teacher. Yet, investigated some things Owen has on his list of forthcoming discoveries.
