1727
March 25, 2016
A merchant which was in Leipsig for businesses on friday april the 11th 1727 wrote a letter to his wife. I asked for the nearest church and they sent me to St. Thomas one. Inside there was a man which was very busy in organizing an orchestra and a chorus. Somebody told me he was herr Bach, the kappelmaister. Then the mass begun and I can swear you, beloved wife, his maravellous music has raised me up to the sky. I never ever heard such an astounding music. I wanted to assist to Holy Friday mass but I found myself in heaven.
